They're Ali, could have all sorts of finishes/textures/logos.
I created a 3D model of them,so they could be made out of anything you can machine .Back side rebated to accept a piano hinge

Not sure of costs at the moment as I traded services .I will get some prices based on 10 odd units as per existing design .If made in Ali they could be anodised any colour you like @ cost. Not sure about carbon fibre lay-up but know a man that does .It's a one -off/labour intensive type opp tho, so it's going to be cheaper than Renault stock item

I'm liking that!
What would be the chances of getting something made to fill the big hole I'm gonna be leaving in the centre console when I replace the radio with a new head unit (and one of Steves GPS thingys).

(I agree with Peter, It'd be even nicer in carbon, or even anodised black finish, but still looks spankin' 8) )

Nice, but I was thinking it'd look nice with the flying A embossed on it somewhere.

Your car centre console looks totally different to mine. Very minimalist! (I have a MASSIVE car phone screwed to the passenger side of it! Original Renault equipment I might add. It looks proper retro! 8)

I can do it with an embossed logo if need be, it can be raised a mil or two in relief in the vinyl. Gagging for a 6" Lcd monitor to be mounted into it though....

I have gone completely 'the other way' with my console lids. I got rid of them and replaced them with a sat nav palm PC fitted in to vinal covered MDF. Sounds a bit crude, but actually looks ok... If i these new lids had been arround when i did it, i may have gone down that roote though, they do look really nice.

Thats a very good sugestion. In was thicking of an Alpine touchscreen in the not too distant future, and it has a screen that slides in and out of the unit. I'll maybe have to think a little more about this!
