Not many 610's knocking about so could be a rare opportunity. "MOT Failure" could be a bargain for someone.

Yes "underbody rust" and the PAS is not working.

Guy says he has been quoted £1000 from his local renault dealership to fix everything so it can't be that bad can it?

I wager it will end up in France because we are too tight to pay good money for these great cars.

I also wager it makes £6k, lets run a book.....

Get bidding  Pay the extra £1000 at the end of the auction and get the work done by the seller (if he doesn't mind of course) then pick up a ready to go car

More like a £1000 at his local Renault dealership to LOOK at everything. Still, at £6k buy, budget £3k to fix and you've still got a nice relatively low mile car for the money. Will be interesting to see what happens!

Anybody know this car?

My angle grinder is waiting for the slaughter   ...................

610 can get very very rusty and not easy to repair as everything is moulded around fibreglass.......

I saw this car a few years ago at a CAR event- it belonged/belongs to a Doctor. I chatted to him at the time and he was clearly not a get your spanners out type of owner, nice chap, but not a technical expert. I think he was a consultant so his skills are clearly elsewhere.
At the time it was OK- the drivers seat bolster was in need a little attention, but it seemed fine otherwise- unremarkable but not tatty.
I saw it again a year or two later at the local Renault dealers- it was there for a few weeks awaiting parts- dirty as it was standing outside (I'm sure they washed it before giving it back) but again in OK used condition. I don't remember the body work being poor at that point.

As you say Mr D will have been up to see it by now so I am sure a full assessment of current condition has been carried out.
Martin- any mention as to where the welding was needed- subframe, wish bones, sills?
PAS failure is probably the pump, core of which is the same as some clio's.
Without knowing where the welding is, its hard to assess value.

L5 GEO

Previously belonged to Gareth Evans

That's with the paintwork, welding and PAS sorted

Not it wasn't. If it was he would have had it done and sold with an MOT. The quote included diagnosing the steering not fixing it. Also it did not include the brakes.

Is that the 666Baddy geezer that keeps coming on here wanting an A610 saying he loves them then puts them on his forecourt a week later after finding one?

So what would it cost to fix?
