It looks like its the hub stud thread that is damaged and in turn damages the nut thread causing it to become loose...

does anyone know what thread size it is? M12? coarse? fine?

I have a thread set to refresh the stud and nut threads but dont want to use the wrong dye/tap...

please help
thanks

M12x1.25 Stupid pitch because they are French

I might be able to get one out of an old hub ...bit of a mare as I've not got any stupid pitch nuts to wind it out with .

went to the renault stealers this afternoon and have bought one hub stud for £2.5 so dont worry but thank you. that will save you a headache.

i still need to find a tap with that pitch (i came to the conclusion it was M12x1.5 but M12x1.25 is even sillier, ***** french ) to refresh the nuts coz typically i have the coarse thread and not the fine one....

thanks Lee
