The breaker's finally getting broken - who wants what?

Postby Stunned Monkey » Wed Apr 20, 2011 8:24 pm

Rob Elliott's breaker...

Image

...has finally been dug out of "storage" and will be going up to the workshop to be cannabalised.

Rob is playing spot the difference between this and his white one, and keeping whatever's best. The whit eone needs some work, namely rusty door pillars but a lot of what's left over will be going spare.

The engine is mine (just the engine, most anclllaries are fair game), the transmission is monsieur Miles'.

...and we're probably looking for an offer to cart the shell away....

Heyup Monkey,

I need the following for our project car if you can come up trumps:

Radiator - How good is it?
Gear Lever Surround and window switch housing.
The cooling pipe that goes through the cooling duct on the rhs of the engine bay
Jack and Wheel Brace

Forgotten other bits but I'll let you know.

The radiator is fine, I don't think it's damaged at all. We took a cheeky drive in teh car when we first got it! I'm pretty sure all that stuff is going spare.

Consider your post on this thread as having first dibs.

Edit: Anything I can specifically ask Chris to remove when the car goes up to him will be removed (unless Rob wants it).

Martin, if the heater controls surround is in good condition with the 4 holding clips intact, I would not mind having it please.
Cheers

Be very careful when removing the heater control surround for JohnC (and my gear lever surround  ) as there are a few hidden screws so don't be tempted to force it out with a screwdriver - listen to a man who has made this mistake more than once!

Hi Martin, I'm after the engine cooling blower fan on the driver's side of the car. It's a similar unit to the atmo fan located on the opposite side I think.
As I recall from my turbo it can be hard to get at, but only two bolts hold it in place.
The thermo switches and bracket would be good to get a well if you can spare them!

Hi, any of the following please?

1. Turbo inlet hose
2. Nearside rear side-window grill trim (the slatted/slotted trim that goes up)
3. Rear light clusters
4. Interior: alarm remote sensor cover lens (up above the rear view mirror)

Looking at the pics, it doesn't seem that you have the front headlamp lenses, but if you do...? And the indicator lenses too?

Thanks.

The other three are a "yes" but the light clusters on the white one are faded and one is cracked, so Rob's keeping them, sorry!
