fuel system on Atmo GTA

Hi all,

Is there anywhere I can get an overview of the fuel system in a non-turbo Alpine GTA?

The car seems to have 2 fuel pumps and 2 carbs - one small and one bigger.

The project car I have is a bit of a mess and would appreciate any basic info on the fuel system to help with getting it running! Given that it's a carb engine I can't imagine it'll take much to get it going, but am curious why there are 2 fuel pumps.

Shouldn't be two on an Atmo . Just the low pressure one at the tank .

John,...There was a mod available for the Atmo`s which involved a second pump which was supposed to fix the false starting all Atmo`s have which was fitted to my Alp 20 odd years ago, it worked but I did not like how it was done, so I removed the mod and cured the problem another way. I can`t believe mine was the only Alp to have it fitted, so it is possible yours may also have it. If you can take a picture of the engine bay without the air cleaner fitted and post it here, I should be able to tell you if yours was fitted with the mod. If it is, that would account for a second pump
