are the GTA central locking motors fitted to any other renaults?

also fitted to 19s there the best to go for as they are the newest. they really only fail when they get damp and if you remove them dry them and fill with very thin oil they'll work but they made improvements to those in the 19s and therefore best to go for

actually that applies to the door lock mechanisms themselves and not the motors but it can also be the cause of the doors failing to lock.

On a slightly simillar topic does any body know if the ignition barrel in an 86 Alp GTA is the same as any other Renaults.

the barrel itself i think it is the same as a phase 1 25 but the wires are different lengths - but you can get a set of barrels from alpine which include door barrels at reasonable cost and only one key!

Yes, the whole barrel kit is an Alpine only part (6001015402) though it is the same at other Renaults. Only £62 + VAT for the lot

central locking working got a motor from a R19 d/s and aR21 d/s £10!!! working a treat.

no bulbs out either, i replaced all 30 1.2w capless dash and switch bulbs and the hard the buy back lit computer read out bulb!!!

speedo also working fine.......try again!!!!!

..bet your power steering don't work..
