Just got a R26 Meggy and WOW!!!!!

Postby PaulyA610 » Mon Jan 17, 2011 9:58 pm

Just got me a new motor, the Megane R26 in silver on a 07 plate and all I can say is what a motor!! It goes well in standard form but will soon be tweeked but the handling is stunning, it really corners sharp as you like! As a replacement for my superly overprice CSL it is a barging miles better drive than the two V6 clios i had a go in (IMHO mind). As a every day car it is spot on.

Andy wants to paint your bonnet the same colour as the rest of the car.

Them quick Megane's are starting to look a bit of a performance bargain.
Ideal for thrashing round the 'Ring.

change the brake disks if they're original pierced types as they crack and can cause a serious disaster, swap them for grooved, Mr D can supply at cheaper prices than the choonas! ktec etc.....

I know andy i will be putting the r26.r brembo disks on with ferodo ds2500 pads and braided lines on as this seems the root to go.

I know what you mean john, but the r26r has this as standard, got to keep her light even if it means the bonnet looks odd!!

you'll probably pay less for hi spec ones (2 piece), which will improve the braking more than r26r disks

you should see the setup on my race spider..... 340 x 32 disks
(2 piece) ...... and they are awsome, the stopping power is incredible if the're good enough for Radical, Cterham as oem and the mini challenge series use them too as the preferred race disk

speak to Mr D before you go ahead and buy the brembos
