I still have n't had time to unplug and clean the ecu connector plug yet.

I have however done a reset after the battery isolator has been off and the display no longer flashes, or it has n't yet and I have covered about 15miles.

The MPG is still showing a constant 80 MPG though.

I have unplugged the ECU and sprayed the conectors with elec cleaner, plugged back in and have completed a reset, but after a short drive the MPG goes straight to 80MPG and stays there?

Jason, I have been doing a bit of digging and it looks as if you are going to have to bite the bullet and get to the rear of the instrument panel. I don`t know how different it is to the GTA`s, but someone on here might be able to point you in the right direction.
Now, I can speak a bit of French, but when it comes to technical jargon.....I am not so good, so....if Andy Holt can confirm that "info. debimetre" with a couple of accents on the first and second "e`s", is, in fact, the Fuel Flow info from the ECU, then read on. Mind you I am pretty sure.....but you never can tell :roll: .
Pic 1, is of the circuit showing the path....in Green... of the flow info to the computer. You may have to print it and turn it on its side for future ref.
Pic 2 Top. shows the dash (LHD) and position of connectors R173 and 109. I doubt if R173 is giving any problem, but for clarity, I show it.
Pic 2 Bottom. shows all the connections to the Instrument panels board of connector 109, and pin 5 (381) with green wire is where the Flow signal enters the board which in turn then goes to the computer. I don`t know how it gets to the computer as there is no detail, and I have not seen one. But either the computer is soldered directly on to the board, or there is a multicore cable leaving the board and terminating in another small connector going to the computer.
Pic 3, just for info of R173 showing that pin B3 carries the signal through the connector.
If you do go down this path, once the instrument panel is out, could you take a couple of pics of it for me, as I would like to see its construction.

John,
I must scan you an English language set of the A610 wiring diagrams (the body work and technical manuals are already in the members technical section).
"info debimetre" is "flow signal" in the English manual as you guessed.

Hi John,
I will need a long evening at work as there are a lot of A3 drawings that won't fit on my home scanner...so it may be a while before I get around to it.
Its also glue bound so its a page at a time....not the best job!

Thanks for the information John.

It does n't look like a job I will be tackling soon, maybe one for the summer.

I will live with the incorrect MPG for now and rely onthe gallons left.

I only used the gallons till empty, as the MPG depresses me!! :(

Really? I've always been very impressed with the MPG on mine. Averages 25mpg, Seen it 30+ on a long run and the lowest I've seen is mid-teens when I was really pushing it. It's no diesel but pretty reasonable for an old car with this performance. :D

Me too- I got around 30 on the way to Macon last year- pretty impressive and it seems to average mid 20's
For comparison- I had thought about a 928S when I bought the 610- 16 mpg typically. Not at £130 a litre thanks.....

I must admit i dont tend to use the 610 on long jurneys, just pottering arround in or a blast down a B road!!
