New balls please

Postby clee » Tue Sep 28, 2010 2:03 pm

I've just had a new supply of gear linkage balls arrive .No go at Renault for these .
These are nylon 66 so very sturdy . I do these on an exchange basis for £75 .Send me the linkage shown and I'll send one back with new fitted .
What your old balls probably look like ...

This is how mine look

Or pop in to RATS and I can fit while you wait for a few quid more

Yes .
These and the bush in the linkage rod ,all the same .
Stephen has just bought up the last of the bushes .These have been failing on a lot of cars of late .Best to do both at the same time
This is what the bush will look like ...One on the box end one on the stick end .Of course the box end is the one that needs changing .

The bush (but not balls) can be replaced with an alternative part

I seem to remember that one of the Australian forum members used something else that fitted.from an .......... Renault (11?)- ....for when Stephen runs out of stock.

First sentence came out a bit allo allo.... :D
