Anyone else who I've left out can hit me a slap when we next meet up!

......everyone who helped a strikened GTA at Silverstone on Saturday and Sunday.

We made the journey to Birenhead (160mls) at a steady 60mph no problem, ferry back to Belfast and a journey of about 5mls home. Just as I was turning into the drive...... BANG!! the hose let go again.

Anyway, roll on the next event, we had a great time :D

Richard..... I dont know the details of how or which hose went, but I always carry a reel of self amalgamating tape with me for just such a failure. It can be used to repair a split hose, or any failure of a hose and together with a couple of cable ties for extra sealing will effectively remake the hose which will get you home without any further trouble

I travelled very light regarding tools etc this time! Walked passed the tape in the garage loads last week and kept saying to myself 'must chuck that in the bag'!!

You should have seen the amount of tape, cable ties, jubilee clips and stuff around the hose, funny looking as......

Worked for me in Macon (thanks to AA Steve)- all the way back to my front door.....where they started leaking.

But I was home by then!

Wonderful stuff- I won't go anywhere (Alpine) without it again.
