Fantastic trip! Top marks Turbodog you really put alot of effort into making a long journey very worthwhile!

Nice to meet some more of the members and to see some familiar faces too.

Great craic and Guinness all round.

(its as well that I don't charge for advice or repairs on these trips, I'd be making a fortune!)

Love the photographs chaps!

Hope everyone got home OK and any issues with the cars are quickly resolved. Enjoyed the trip up to the dam in the Clio V6, lovely noise from that engine sitting behind your ears. Was great to see cars (and great people!) from Ireland and Jersey and the Southern guys. Nice mini convoy home with Andy and Sheryl too.

Postby Tony Smith » Mon Aug 23, 2010 10:51 am

Completely great event, even the wife enjoyed it! Big big thanks to Andrew for organizing it superbly. Great to meet some of our northern bretheren. Sorry about taking a non Renault but was nice to not have to open the bonnet for a change! Posted a few pics that are a little different to the othersImage

Ah so your car ended up on a loader Rob :-( ... the electricity ran out for you aswell, perhaps the de-lorean would have been useful with it's flux capacitor (I know - apologies for the lame joke) ...

Hope your car is OK too Simon and that you and your good lady got home safely.

I guess car afflictions are quite common on the Alpine meets but it is good that there is a breadth of knowledge and support to keep everyone going ... and I am sure it wouldn't be as much fun if all the cars just worked - hmmm, maybe it would be nice though ...

Yeah it gave up for good a few minutes after leaving for home. Not bad timing really, I got to complete the trip. Next year it will be working properly, promise :)
