Postby si21 » Thu Jul 22, 2010 2:46 pm

details .....I need to know how far the route is this Atmo of mine drinks fuel at an alarming rate. so much so its cheaper to tow it to Wales than it is to drive it. The van did 28.5 average towing last weekend ....the Atmo cant touch it not even on a run

And of course it all depends if the car even gets an MOT

Well thats what I was told, which seemed acceptable, I have to admit the calculation was just a rough one bit seems about right when gaugued against the fuel put in and the milage travelled.

I know the Cold start is up the shoot but it seems ok once warmed up, I am getting it checked on a proper CO meter at the Weekend.

Mr Dell is making enquiries for me regarding gear linkage as 5th gear is not currently obtainable so this will not help, but I dont think it'll make 12 MPG difference. But 18 MPG is acheived with reasonably gentle driving

I guess I'll get there, might try re setting up the coldstart this weekend and see what happens!!

Mr Dell reckons 20MPG is normal ...I hear so many differing reports

I shall be arranging the hotel tomorrow at 'hopefully' a good price. Once this is done I will then put the full itinerary on the site so people will have an idea of where we are going over the weekend.

Kin Hell Si, I didn't know things were this tight  Here's an idea, why not sell that Quadra Exhaust that Stu Harding has been asking you for the past 5 years to go towards your digs and juice???????????

Simon, If you, or anyone else for that matter, requires a B & B for the Friday night, we have booked an Excutive Double room for £39 including breakfast, (normally £110) at the Talardy Hotel St Asaph, we stayed there last year, and it is very good value, and just about a mile or so from the start of the Tour, and you pass a service station on the way if you want a fill up.
Log on to http://www.laterooms.com/en/hotel-reser ... asaph.aspx for the hotel

John

Hi John thanks for the tip, Hotel booked for Friday ....Boss gave me the day off :P

It all looks very swish so I look forward to seeing you there John, anyone else staying here? I will drive the GTA at the end of the day it will cost me quite a bit to find somewhere I can plot the van and trailer up and I will not get any benefit from it over the weekend, so I may as well get a nice hotel no fuss no drama and and the fuel will cost slightly more over the top.

I am posting a reply to your fuel consumption prob in your original Atmo post, we dont want to start a discussion on that here, it will only distract from the event

Andrew has found a really lovely hotel but we need some committment to be able take the complete Town House

Will work out £50 - £55 per head including a full Welsh breakfast and the ladies will like the themed rooms.

This is not as expensive as it sounds. For example the Premier inn nearby is £75 + £5 per person breakfast = £85 per night for cheap and cheerful.

Confirmed Double Room

Andrew Jones + Chris
Andrew + Cheryl
Simon + Annie
Stephen + Sarah
John Chevalier + Sue

Confirmed Single or Twin

Miles Thomas (Definately Single)

Unconfirmed

Tony Smith + Becky ?
Jules Symes + Nicky ?
Pat Fitz ?
John Folly
Rob + 1 ?
Richard Walsh + 1?

Beaumaris is a lovely town on the coast and we can eat in the Brasserie if we stay at the Townhouse.
