Very nice car, but Alvin wants the full money. It won't go for less than £12K which is where I think the reserve is set. Maybe £11.5K without fees outside ebay at a push to the right buyer. He won't let it go to a boy racer only an enthusiast.

I know that Geoff Arthur (previous owner) had a lot of work done to it to get everything working well, and protected well underneath.

Too much money without a doubt. I expect he is not that bothered about selling it.

Too much money without a doubt

Yes and no. Too much for those of us that like a bargain, but maybe OK for someone that really wants one just to use with no work to do, except maybe attention to one paint bubble on the bonnet.

Just the bonnet if you are fussy

I have said it's hard to get more than £10K and that's were the bidding seems to die out.

Some of those questions look a bit dodgy on his listing. Do people really talk like that? They all appear to have problems with spelling too!!!

Seriously though, £10K is a lot for these cars but not much if that's what you want.

A decent bonnet respray is not going to cost more than £250 and yes for north of £10K - I am going to be fussy.

Compared to the cost of fixing these cars (unless you do it yourself) its always better to pay for the best, provided that it really is.
An engine rebuild will cost at least 4k (if its got all the right parts changed- pistons/barrels are £1500 a set now on their own). Drive shafts 550 each etc. etc.

You pays your money....

Yeah I thought all the questions smelt of friends bigging up the car.

I have seen the receipt for this. It was done by Paul Sage and all the right parts were changed.
