WANTED Renault Spider for Top Gear - NO WINDSCREEN

Postby stephendell » Tue Jun 15, 2010 8:21 pm

The BBC want to borrow a Spider WITHOUT windscreen for a Top Gear episode.

They have promised the programme will be complimentary and they won't smash it up!

Problem is AFAIK there were never any RHD Spiders produced without a screen.

I have already them offered cars with a windscreen and race cars without screen but they really want a road car without screen so I guess that would mean one of our French friends bringing a LHD car over.

Sounds like BBC researchers need to get out a bit more often and see the real stuff.

Why even try and help them? after what they did to that lovely A610. I would tell them to VA FAN CULO, COGLIONI !!

They will still slag it off and probably drop a piano on it.

Guys don't waste your time on these CIRCUS CLOWNS IDIOTS where everything needs to be £50k+ to be good.

Phildini the angry Italian......... One horse head on it's way for Cockson!!

P.S. To make matters worst, I got a Nobby Cockson DVD in one of my Goody bags???!!!  Straight in the FIRE!

Cant we loan them a trick car (with different ECU) which will beat the Lotus.
"of course the cars without screens will be a lot faster!"
That could turn the tables in favour of the Spider?

If they have any plans for JC or hamster to actually drive it, don't give it to them. They really are destroyers.

I have one here that would fit the bill but it has a windscreen

Yes please, I think they wanted it for one day only.

We have discussed this and the A610. They have PROMISED! this is to be a complimentary feature.

They want to interview the owner and talk to them about their experience of ownership etc

I tried to, but after about 3 months of negotiations, the owner ended up just being a bit of a jockey :(

Although, I am currently pondering this pricey bad boy.....

seems very pricey..... espcially as it doesn't have original wheels it has "silver spider" wheels, you need to look a bit harder the prices are dropping in France as theres alot of cars on the market at the moment
