Renault Clubs @ Bromley Pageant Sunday 13th June

Postby stephendell » Thu May 13, 2010 2:51 pm

Renault Clubs @ Bromley Pageant - Sunday 13th June 2009

There is now just one remaining Renault Heritage supported event before WSR Silverstone.

The Bromley Pageant of Motoring, is still the biggest one-day classic car show in the world and this year's event takes place on Sunday 13th June.

The Pageant is established as something of an institution amongst enthusiasts from all over the world. You will find more than 3,000 classic and collectors cars in one place with a unique atmosphere of friendly club stands, displays and fellow enthusiasts.

This year's Pageant is building on previous years and promises to be better than ever with a number of added attractions, making this a great day out. There is so much more with a huge Cars for Sale area, Fun Fair, Steam Engines, Trucks, Motorcycles, Modified Cars, the list goes on AND not forgetting one of the biggest classic vehicle trade shows in the UK with hundreds of Autojumble stands, and trade stands including the latest products, parts, services and new vehicles on display.

We have space for a 60 car Renault Clubs' display and there is an opportunity for Renault drivers to participate in a parade around the central arena in any Renault Sport, Classic Renault or Alpine.

Renault H&C and Renault UK will support the Renault Clubs area (which is open to all Renault clubs) at the event as usual.

SPECIAL OFFERS & ARRANGEMENTS FOR THE RENAULT CLUBS AREA:

1. Admission price of ONLY £5 in total for a vehicle with a driver and passenger. Additional tickets available at specially reduced rates.

2. Goody bag with gifts from Renault Histoire & Collection.

3. Meguiar's Concours with a prize for the 'Best Heritage Renault'.

4. Renault Hospitality Unit with refreshments.

5. Parade around the arena

The application form for tickets is here:

You can find some photos from last year's event here:

There seem to be some forms missing. I will check all of them tonight and post a definitive list up. Those people who have said they have sent forms I will add them to the list anyway and we can sort out payment later if it has gone missing.

Driving it a mile and a half was not really a test. It sat running stationary for half an hour an sat at 85 - 90 degrees soon as you drive it the temp climbs and sits at about 97 - 98 degrees which considering that it running mods to keep it cool is still. To hot for a standard set up. It hit 102 degrees yesterday but I found the fan to be intermittent even though it was switched on permanently!!!"

Took it apart again in today located the wiring fault so I am hoping that the fan has been more intermittent than I have realized. A second fan shifting 750 cfm will ne fitted if when its all back together, if it still overheats that will be the end of the road. I don't have any more money or time to throw at it. To be honest I still think it will overheat. I have so little faith in it now.

Obi wan kenobi is my only hope.

I have never known a car like it in 20 years of driving.

I am actually finding the car an embarrassment now.
