Think so yes. I'll check the size.

not sure they'll be big enough, Bosch 0 280 150 201, I think the flow rate is 237cc.

Thanks Rupert but no way near big enough .
I've got 380cc in at the minute .They are at 88% duty at 20 psi according to Scoff so we need at least 440cc 42lb units .

ha-ha+ :D :D :D

The new ones I just bought 440cc 4 nozzle, I'll dig out the info and send over, price wasn't that bad. 270 USD for the 6. 69 USD shipping and about 60 quid in tax. Next size up I have spare are 750cc I think... Look on US sites for 42lb injectors.

88%, so well on your way to if not past 350hp as very rough ratio and more to come mate! :D  can I have an ice cream with 99 chocolate flake, finger licking good

Thanks.

That will be a 60 trim T3, 62 trim isn't a standard frame size. Given limits of measurement, the exducer is probably 60mm? The likelihood is that turbo is a Super 60 trim, as it would have been Cossie origin, where I pulled loads of parts for my Fiat junk going back a few years.

So not sure what your rebuild was then? ut certainly wouldn't have been a 60 trim??

Anyway, a Super 60 will deliver 350hp at the flywheel, but it will be running at a poor efficiency ratio generating heat, approx shaft speed of 145k rpm at 18psi approx 2.3 pressure ratio. I achieved a sustained >300hp at the wheels on a 2ltr fwd application on one of these turbos, albeit a Turbonetics version and peak 320hp on a power run.

That turbo is too small as we discussed many moons ago, but has done the job for the day. I can calculate the maps and send you. The T04E 57 trim or Super 57 trim (or equivalent) would be ideal for this motor. At 18psi both would be in the middle of their efficiency islands >=76% at 18psi, so would carry you nicely on, and provide real mass flow. I have a 57 trim on the blue car, and for this reason. It was cheaper than a ball bearing race turbo and would certainly do the job. Test it, prove it, and decide kinda stuff. It would take a great deal of persuasion to borrow it though, and rather not if I can. Looking at the 46 trim again, it will do the job, so may be we should just mount it up and see. Pay to get it rebuilt and go for it. We could use the cartridge of the T3 on there now, as that was rebuilt, plus the shaft and get a new 46 trim compressor spun on and balanced. Just thoughts. I'm just worried about more bits coming off the current compressor and getting ingested, it's not in great shape.

So don't knock 320hp (and possibly greater) at the flywheel on that little turbo, it is possible but at it's working limit, and would start restricting the engine past 6500rpm.

Really need to decide next step. But 440cc injectors are a definite must to be exploiting all the potential there.

Next step sir?

Next step is for me to sort the cars that are here , get some space back and get some dosh together to pay for the wanted bits .
Turbo spec can wait till after the clutch ,injector and CC rad upgrade .I'll get them installed then get Scoff down to map on the existing turbo and see where it falls over ??

Ok sounds good. I'll get the 46trim rebuilt, maybe BJ will have a look at it, although he can't balance, I'll ask. I have an unused T3 oil only cartridge, and see if we can do a two bob rebuild, and have some T3 standard turbines that can be sacrificed. If you can find some cheap injectors I think we have it.

Nobody on here have an old DG turbo and injectors from past projects they can donate to the Alpine engine bash cause?

I can rebuild the turbo ,done it a few times but again no balancing capabilities so with new wheels no way to know if it's way out .
