final notice

Postby andyh877 » Sat Mar 13, 2010 12:25 pm

I've extended the deadline by 2 weeks for the last minute straglers....

the paperwork will go off tomorrow night and if the funds aren't received for those still outstanding, those names will be ommitted, i can't say fairer than that.

I am up for the i-WAY, but would also need to be back on Monday night, looks like it is do-able, but will be a quick visit and a bit of a rush job to say the least. Maybe a scenic return route from Macon to Calais is just as good an option?

IMPORTANT INFO.....

for those of you who like to drive fast..... encounters with Jean Claude Gendame.....

the limit...130 kmh....

if you're caught speeding on the autoroute....

up to 20 kms over the limit 45 euros on the spot
20 to 50 kms over the limit 90 euros on the spot

if you are ccaught doing more than180 kmh they will take your licence off you on the spot so your passenger wil have to drive the rest of the journey.... fine you alot of money.... on the spot and maybe arrange court case.....

so keep at least 100 euros in cash in your pocket as if you don't have the cash to pay.... they can impound your car until you do....

if you do get stopped, don't argue just pay up, do the paperwork and go...

just before arrival in Macon.....

fill up your car to FULL there is no time on saturday morning or during the day to go hunting for fuel stations that accept UK plastic to fill up.

the last service station on the autoroute A6 ( shell ) before the macon exit is the ideal place

rough map guide to get there from calais,

A16 north
A26 direction Reims
A26 direction Troyes
A31 direction Dijon
A6 direction Lyon
exit 28 Macon Nord

Any questions give me a bell my numbers are in the Macon Thread in the members area.

Bonne Route!
