GTA Fuel Level Issues Sorted

Ive just resorted to filling mine up when i hit 200 miles.

My digi gauge reads 2.5gal even when its full to the brim.
2016 Mercedes A200d 2.2 AMG, 7sp DCT.
2003 Renault Laguna II 3.0 24v V6 Diamonique Auto.

Martin,
Mine is slightly better tan yours. I fill up after 250 miles.
However, If Mr D can find that fuel sender I asked him for maybe I wont have the problem any more :lol:

I wouldn't count on it- Lee's tested all the relevant parts on my car, they all have power/function and still no reading!

Hi John,

Ive not actually done any tests so to speak.
But i did do the computer reset procedure, but that did not seem to help.

Interestingly, the MPG appears to be quite accurate at 27mpg.

Hi Paul,

That tells me that your speed sensor, and the ECU output flow info is working, the MPG does not need fuel level to compute. The first thing I would check is the fuel level sensor, you will have to remove the boot liner to access it, pull the plug out of it and see if the reading (of 2.5gals) changes. If you are handy with a meter see if there is a resistance across the pins of the sensor (plug disconnected) If there is put some fuel in the tank and see if the resistance changes. See how you go with that first :wink:
