Furry pipe

Postby jules » Tue Nov 10, 2009 10:43 am

Lost one of them nasty furry pipes of the GTA this morning. Its the one thats about a foot long by the frivers side rear wheel. Anyone know what its for and if its a problem to run without it for a while?

Cheers

Jules

Probably the alternator cooling pipe. Probably OK for a while as I think they are missing from quite a few GTA's.

Alternator gets quite hot from the exhaust manifold.
Personally, I think it is quite important to have it on.
Autoperformanceonline have a good selection.

You will need to measure the alternator flange to get the size.
