Thanks for that, yes sounds very similar, but looks like this will affect my wheel purchase plan :(

Took GTA down to Ren Tek.

As suspected by a few of you on the forum, it turns out that the cross members in question do not form part of the structure of the car.
Therefore it passed the MOT.
However, they have been noted as 'advisary' hence I need to get them sorted.

Decided to wire brush the area, fix with fibre glass, paint with hammerite and finally slap a load of underseal on top for good measure.

I have her up on axial stands as we speak - repairing the area over the next couple of weeks.
