A610 throttle Pot

Postby Tony Smith » Mon Jul 06, 2009 3:13 pm

Can anybody confirm if this part is the same on an Atmo 3.0 litre engine as it is on an A610. New A610 one is £150 + vat  a second hand 3 litre Safrane/Laguna one is £1.50  .

The thing is; you don't have a 610 throttle. The important bit is the shape of the spindle where it drives the pot, so on your car, even an original 610 one would probably need to be modified. Can anyone confirm the shape of the spindle on a 3 litre throttle?

Is your one not working properly any more?

To answer directly: no, the 610 one is much simpler!

Out of range

Postby Tony Smith » Mon Jul 06, 2009 9:00 pm

When Scoff mapped the car he said it doesn't send a signal thats within calibration range (or something along those lines). Think my throttle pot is an atmo one - not sure if its donald or if the turbo one is different

Isn't the A610 a switch not a POT??
Gives a signal for full throttle (or more than a certain amount)? Sounds like you need more of what you already have not the A610 one.

If you get stuck I have a Bosch number the 610 item.

Cheers

No, all the EFI PRV's have a pot, only the Z7U has limit switches AFAIK.

The 610 and Venturi 300 definitely does.
