GTA / A610 glass?

Postby 2P5T » Tue Apr 14, 2009 8:27 am

I assume all the screens are identical in both cars since the roof line is unchanged?

Is the A610's roof skin a separate panel unlike on the GTA as you can see the steel bracing at the top of the A-pillar?

The windscreens are identical for both cars as is all of the other glass apart from a slifght change to the drivers drop glass which has an extra hole.

The roof construction is similar but the A610 (& Le Mans) includes an expansion joint and clip that covers it as the GTA suffered from cracking in this area. However IMO the solution looks worse than the crack!

The cross bar and brackets are the same part numbers for both models.

You can actually still buy a roof for an A610

Very useful info. Thanks again Mr. D.

I believe the A610's extra roof strengthening was partly because of Renault's intention to sell it in the US market, which didn't happen, ultimately.

I've never seen a Le Mans so I didn't realise that the roof varied from the regular GTA.
