Oil cooler Sandwich plate pipes

Does anybody know what the renault Part numbers are for the two solid metal pipes going to the oil sandwich plate cooler.
Mine are both rotting and I really wish to change them before they ‘let go’ .

Does this oil sandwich plate / heat exchanger method actually work?
Why did they not use a traditional oil cooler radiator ?

And where do these pipes disappear to? All I can make out is they go off above the engine. Do they connect to the car heater matrix?

Have you downloaded the parts book from the technical help sectio?. If you have a look through that you should be able to get the part numbers. Might even give you an idea of where they are routed to.

Well, if its a Z7U730 up to 1986 then its a 6000007625 (£191+VAT) or if its a Z7U734 then its 6000007674 (£119.51+VAT). Thats for the longer pipe, the short pipe is 6000007626 (£19.08+VAT)

These pipes connect into the main coolant system, because its a rear engined car and difficult to use a seperate rad for oil cooling, this is why it was done this way.

The pipes are very expensive, I would personally go to a company and get them to copy the pipes in copper tube.

Yes I found them on Page 47, wasn’t sure if I was looking at the correct diagram so I thought I'd pose the question.

Reassuringly ridiculous prices and I guess they’re not that easy to get at either. I see Simon Autos doesnt even list the part so maybe not many owners have problems. Mine seem to be very corroded and I dont really want to chance it too much longer.

A job for the summer IF I can gain access to them, I guess they are routed over the back of the engine, I presume it's not an 'engine out job is it ?

Better get the short pipe quickly before its £1908
