Front Fuel Filter

What do Renault sting you for one of these ?
Found a slightly longer Mahle one in the factors but have I paid too much :?:

You do need to lose some weight mate ...That box you put the end caps in...Set of scales ..remember ?
Says up to 19 stone ...are you sure that's enough ??

The original front filter is of a stainless screen type and stops larger rocks, whereas the rear filter is of the paper type and hopefully stops all the rest. The front filter is a simple 8mm end push on affair and could be replaced by a fuel injection paper type in an aluminium shell, but should then perhaps be replaced more often.

That's what I've got .Same filter type as the rear ...
Mahle KL24/1 ...BMW
Same diameter as the std Ren one but about 15mil longer .Fits fine in the space ..£18 .
Also got a solid state front pump, 4.5-7psi and flows 130 l/hr .This is far more flow than the std unit at 15 l/hr .UK bought ,Chinese by the looks but got good reports and two year warranty .Nothing wrong with the std front pump so I'll have that to fall back on if it isn't up to the job ..

fuel Filter

My Gta was holding back under load at high rev's . I suspected that the fuel filters were old & clogged and causing starvation . I purchased both front & back from Renault in maidstone ( Steve Hall the parts manager is a huge GTA fan ) . The car was transformed and pulled clean through to the red line . Bottom end power & midrange were restored as well . The filters were worth every penny . I did not fit them after my Heads off nightmare last year . That utterly superb Richard in Belfast did the work .
If you are thinking of Using Richard for some work on your car then stop thinking & call him . His workmanship , communications , pricing and entire service is 5 Star . he knows the cars inside out & has a passion for them . The whole Belfast experience is a blast (opps) Richard collected my car in 1000 pieces & kept me updated throughout the re-build . He kept to his agreed timescale to the day . I flew over for £29 with my Son to collect the car & came back on the ferry to Liverpool which gave us a great run home to Kent ( via Wales for a laugh ) Brilliant . Call him now

I forgot to mention the digital & mobile photo updates at key stages in the rebuild , the email updates and the ongoing recomendations as components were removed . Unbelievable service. & not a hint of a parrot sketch.
