HELP need advice on ignition keys

have lost ignition key (the only one) have managed to remove ignition barrel -it has number on side - anyone know where is best to get key from?? it is a 1979 gta turbo -or what other model ignition barrel was the same so can replace if cant get key.please help - any advice greatfully recieved.

You could try Renault as they do keep key information but I think it's for about 10 years though.

Or get in touch with markmw who is breaking a car at the moment for a complete lockset maybe?

tried local renault dealers -no luck prefer not to have to change all locks just yet - have you the breakers email ? as last resort.

just thought they be same as another renault model so only needed to replace the barrel/key

If you give the complete barrel to any decent local locksmith they should be able to cut a key for around £15 - £20.

I had one done fairly recently.

yes went to locksmith and they did charge £20 which was a nice surprise - many thanks for everyones help -cheers
