Water injection

Postby peterg » Sat Feb 19, 2005 11:15 am

The company who made the intercooler spray have now produced a water injection kit (£150)...its all over ebay at the moment. I have emailed them to see whats what. Apparently it has one injector nozzle that sprays water at 60 or 100PSI (depending on which kit you buy) directly into the throttle body. Question is will this actually work? I thought the water was meant to go straight into the cylinders.

Yes, it will work, especially on the Alpine which have such a poor intercooling system. It needs to be sprayed into the air stream after the intercooler to cool the excess heat in the charge. It needs to be set up on a rolling road to get the correct results, other wise you can lose power.
