Andy, Prison is one thing but a French one, NO THANKS.
I'll be sending off my form 2 days before it is due.

The story is slightly confusing......was he done in France or over here???
I personally think a lot of speed enforcement is designed to earn money and the sooner its stopped the better, but the figures for motorists in prison implies that theyre all there for minor offences like the man in the story. Nonsense of course.....every half wit criminal has a car and its usually because they consistently drive without insurance or badly, then when they get banned carry on driving until they go to prison. Some of my most frequently encountered criminals at work have done some time for disqualified driving.

Andy, consider yourself a good judge of character.
I'm not going to prison, touch wood, I'll be paying the fine as late as possible, without going to court. This seems the easiest option.

After following Simon to Zolder I think it may be possible he did a stint as a getaway driver some time in the past!

Tony, close, but not quite. :)
It's like the law of averages, I've been stopped by a plod on a push bike
And then again I lost an SDI jam sandwich in my first car.
most of 'em are just plain old good guys, till you wind 'em up,
so, this time they've got a picture of my daily driver, I can choose to pay up or go to jail.......
see you soon.

I used to have one of my cars registered under the company name instead of my personal name, and I got a ticket for going through a red light camera. When I got the letter through, I replied that 'we didnt know who was driving at the time, as it was a company pool car and could have been one of many people'. They kicked up a bit of a fuss, said we must keep records of who drives the vehicles from now on, and gave me a telling off and a £40 fine, but no points on anybody's licence.

It won`t work now..my sister used to work for a company who also had a car pool and the odd one or two speeding tickets/ light jumps. But now they haven`t got any cars and the boss has now been done for the tickets and given some points,,,OOPS

Thanks Andy, but what have you been doing for the past few weeks. Unfortunately it is all too late now, I'm £60 down and 3 points up.

Oh well, there is always next time ........
