Ebay strikes again......

Postby rupert » Sun Nov 16, 2008 5:52 pm

A strange thing happened last Friday night.

There I was, drifting though the usual dream purchases in the cars section when I found what appeared to be a real bargain with just 2 hours to go.

Spoke to my Brother in Law who practically dared me to bid on it. In a moment of complete madness I took a guess at what the high bidder had bid and found myself £1 ahead of him but i felt satisfied that he would now have to pay a slightly more realistic price for the car when he bid again, which he surely would ....... wouldn't he?.

Left for the evening to take my daughters to High School Musical Stage show at the theatre, (which I found worryingly good), came home to find I had bought a new car.

I may as well have crapped in my wife's bed. It has not gone down well. We have a house that is not even watertight, no proper bathroom and no carpet anywhere.

As many of you know, I'm not exactly rolling in it, (though I'm sure Lee won't agree :? ), but fortuately I did have an empty credit card with a low rate offer and having spoken to the bloke selling I don't think I'm getting scammed over.....

I go to pick it up tomorrow afternoon, from Walsall. Have decided to ride my luck and get the train up and drive it back. RAC membership is all up to date.....

The cost.... well £6751.... have a guess, if I get back without it breaking on the way home I'll let you know tomorrow evening what it is.

If not I'll just bury myself alive and start looking for a divorced bachelor pad.

Completed items in ebay

And no I'm not picking that up, the neighbours would think my numbers had come up and the wife would probably bury me under the patio if I returned home with that!

.... you're right, but I think I'm safe, we don't have a patio....

Okay seeing as it is easy to find out what it is, heres a pic... Still can't believe it.

Hoping it is a bargain, and not a lemon....
