I would like to see some one cut one or two 6" holes in the GRP behind the OEM intercooler, and then run some large diameter ducting from the holes, down the inner wings scooping air from underneath the car. At least you will then have cool air actually going through the intercooler, and it costs nothing in real terms.

David, this option sounds interesting.
In real terms how much of an affect do you think this would have over the standard set up.
Noticeable difference in acceleration :?:

No one knows because no ones done it ,or if they have they've not taken any before and after data .I have cut a few holes in the GRP but not ducted them as I have plenty of airflow through the side vents being opened up .I can easily tape them up and see the temp change .
I also have installed a spray system so I'll be testing all the options ...........
But then no one listens to me ...........I'm a FOF .

Would be interested to know what sort of temperature difference it would make. Could you tape up your vents and post the temps please ?

The twin setup does work :D
Put it back to std and was getting max temps of 46c @ 10 psi with the twin setup it peaks at 38c .It drops the temps quite quickly as well when it comes back on boost after a bit of heat soak .
Not really lab conditions but I ran it up the same bit of road and same driving style .I need to put a probe in straight after the turbo to work out the efficiency .No drop in pressure either according to the gauge .
So for £60 I ain't grumbling .

Checked at the turbo and it's 90c under similar conditions .That's a temp rise above ambient of 75 .So I make that the std cooler is about 30% efficient and my twin unit nearer 50%
Someone I'm sure will correct me maff .

I need to test a totally std setup and a water-air unit .Any takers ? It won't do any damage ,all I do is shove a probe in the V6 plenum and take a reading then take the DV off and put the probe in there for a similar test .Any Bruntingthorpe runners ???
