I would like to see some one cut one or two 6" holes in the GRP behind the OEM intercooler, and then run some large diameter ducting from the holes, down the inner wings scooping air from underneath the car. At least you will then have cool air actually going through the intercooler, and it costs nothing in real terms.

I know it's going to be in a hot place ,I've got the side pod vent opened up that side as well as where the air filter sits .Can move it further back under the shelf or down if I need .I can get forced air to it from above or below as there is the old turbo extractor fan hole in the side panel as well .That and possibly a fan as well .I can easily see how much it gets soaked without doing any more , just make it secure and drive about a bit ..
