ASAN Croix en Ternois Track Day 20th September

Postby stephendell » Mon Aug 11, 2008 10:04 am

Usually a very popular meeting organised by our friends from ASAN

A weekend event with a track day on Saturday and a Tourist Rally on Sunday. There is a meal on Saturday night.

Several of us will definately be going to the track day on the Sautrday at the very least.

Full details here:

http://www.clubalpine.net/planning.htm

Usual RAOC Eurotunnel Discount bookings available.

More details on times etc shortly.

Hi Jon

This is normally one of the highlights of the season and we are definately going.

We need to book the shuttle ASAP as places are going fast.

Please can everyone confirm what they want to do and how long they want to stay, i.e.

PADDOCK & TRACK LAPS 20th sep, 1 day trip
PADDOCK, TRAP LAPS, TREASURE HUNT, MEALS 20th & 21st Sep 2 day trip

I suspect most people will opt for the one day trip.

Its possible to take your car and spectate only and I'm sure there will be plenty of people happy to take you out if you have a helmet.

Approx costs are shuttle £45 return including club discount
Track day £100
Paddock parking only (spectator) £15

Interested parties so far are:

Stephen Dell
Tony Law
Jon Thorne
Paul Sage
Joe Salama
Simon Gamblen?

ASAN have agreed a very special rate for RAOC members for the track day but unfortunately the Eurotunnel booking engine is still offline due to the fire.

We are still hoping to go but the shuttle bookings will have to be last minute IF the service comes back online.

Judging by the state of some of Seafrance's Ferries you won't need a drill.

One of the reasons we are going earlier to avoid the luxury vessel (not) AKA the Cezanne.

I just hope they don't change the schedule!

Seafrance have 2 laid up vessels newer than the Cezanne. Let's just say that 28 years of salt water have taken their toll! Amazing it floats.
