Turbo Boost Gauge Fitment

Can anyone tell me the best way to do this? Is it better to get a mechanical or electronic one?

Great, so it looks like a mechanical one rather than electric, so more:

How do you plumb them in? Especially with a bleed valve. How much hosing should i order?

I think they are both electronically operated Jon ,be best to check .Search for mechanical gauges .You will need about 5 meters of piping .

T it into the pipe to the dump valve .This is from the manifold after the throttle body so you will get manifold vacuum reading as well as boost. It will be more accurate as it's at the point of entry to the combustion chamber .Anywhere before the throttle will give a higher reading .
You could T into the MAP sensor pipe but as that inputs to the ECU I'd suggest not .

Great, only problem is that as i have a chargecooler i don't have a dump valve!

I only have the "V6" manifold in use at the throttle body. Any idea's? Would it be best if i run the bleed valve and the guage off the actuator pipe?

That's the throttle plenum .The manifold , after the throttle , will still have the outlet for the dump valve so plumb direct to that .

If you plumb into the actuator pipe then you will get a false boost/vacuum reading .You want to know what's entering the chamber .The bleed valve goes in the line to the actuator .The old DV outlet is at the rear of the brake vac pipe .

Jon, and if your car is running correctly, you should see 22 vacuum on idle. When I fitted mine, it was a lot less and turned out to be a faulty dump valve.

So where on mine does the plumbing all go? I see the bleed valve into the actuator but the gauge plumbing? Sorry to be a pain! Lee could you do one of your brilliant "red arrow " jobs again?
