Fuego Turbo ignition coil ??

Postby renman » Thu May 22, 2008 3:10 am

Hi all - just wondering if anyone can help point me toward a new or used ignition coil complete for a Fuego Turbo? I don't know if these are used on many or any other models, but its proving difficult to get one here in Australia (turbos weren't sold here).

Cheers
Graeme

I think it is the same as a R5 Gordini turbo, what number does it say on the ignition coil should start with a R.......

Does that advert say £12000......??????

Thanks...and you guys have really great avatars by the way!!

Which suppliers would you use to find a part like this ignition coil/module for my daughter's Fuego Turbo?
I've emailed David G and he hasn't replied yet. Maybe this part is too strange?? I know its different to the normal 2 liter GTX we were sold here as it refers to MAP incl boost.
Australian parts suppliers (even Renault specialists) seem to have flipped me off on this.

I tremble to admit....... :? I'm getting desperate so any help would be much appreciated.

Cheers from Brissie

HEEELLLLOOOO IS ANYONE LISTENING TO ME? don't worry about David G. he only deals in boombastic auto's with a minimun of 1000bhp.

If you give me the code on the ignition coil which I said it should start with a R.... then a number, maybe RE009 or RE007 etc....... I might be able to help you......

do you need the ignition coil or the module itself? the ignition coil is common across alot fo the older renaults.
the module has a different RE number than the gordini turbo, but a gordini turbo one will fit- as they have the same pin layout.
the R5 GT Turbo one will also fit, is in far more plentiful supply , but you will have to cut open the plugs and move the pins around for them to fit into the gtt style layout.

the only reason i know this is i fitted a fuego turbo module to my gtt once.

Sorry for not getting back sooner....the car is at my work, not home.
I've just removed the coil to see the numbers and have a closer look at it.

The sticker on the coil reads

S100001 - 033
Renix B RE033

The oval plate reads

1365
A8 600 OJY
V001132

The other plate reads

0450613V
VF1 136500
F0002078

Thanks for your help fellas.

Hmmmm.....well I did say I was getting desperate, though maybe the GBP1350 for postage does seem a little steep. Your real name's not EBAY is it?? :P
