Rears need to have the pistons wound fully back ,install pads then reset the handbrake .I always need a couple of goes before the handbrake works well ( well as well as it will anyway )

As Clee says, the rear caliper pistons are wind in, the front pistons are push in.

Renewed the front discs and pads on mine today. Relatively simple job as long as you have the tools. A decent set of sockets and spanners is enough and you'll need a Torx bit for undoing the two disc securing screws.

Only problem I had was a very stiff and difficult to push in piston on one side. A G-clamp and bit of wood did the trick:

Piston on other side was much easier to push in.

Other than that, probably only 10-15mins a side to do. :D

good work, but why did you not free up your seized piston in the caliper?

You have to swing the piston out to remove the old brake pads, then push the piston back in before you can fit the new pads. It wasn't seized, just very difficult to push back in without a proper tool.

pistons, when not seized can be pushed back with your hand pressure.

Yes the discs are the same.

Cars with ABS have a wheel speed sensor on each wheel and four targets which are secured to secondary stub axles on the front and to the drive shafts at the rear. But the discs themselves are the same as for non ABS equipped cars.
