Thanks for the info. I suspect there is a special tool for this. I have got the same pincipal on my two Marine Diesels, the tool screws into the hole and has a spring loaded pin (8mm) which drops into a hole in the flywheel as you rotate it slowly, at TDC. Very useful. Takes all the fun out of it though.
