Noddy cars

Must have 5 doors ,seat 3 under 10s in the back very,very occasionally .Not overly bothered on fuel type . Runabout for under £750 .Auto preferred .
What's out there ??

Staying with the old Diamond these are cheap nowadays. I bought a V plate normal megane for £700 last year and apart from a couple of electrical gremlins, theres a suprise it's been spot on. 5 Doors, and a large boot:

I you dont mind japanese, look for a Daihatsu Sirion, not new shape, 1.3 motor, goes like hell, never gives trouble. I have had two, never had to take either of them to the garage, giving you more time to work on your Alpine. Should also be cheap. Likes to be driven hard.

Lee - what about a mazda 323 ? the fastback/executive one upto 98 ..v good value..o.k. looks ..quite a few are 5dr autos...seats 5 at a pinch...and they have a spoiler - not sure why !
(though the older 323 turbo is what you really want - a real 'sleeper')

IMO don't go anywhere near anything French with a slush box.... esp anything with a PRV in it - how many of them donor engines come from cars with knackered boxes? (almost all of them!)
