Driveshaft split pins

Can't find them What size are they ?

Citroen door hinge pins from a BX - you need to shorten it slightly but they come with a tapered end, which is extremely useful!

sorry, I realised late last night I could have told you they were 6mm - the "punch" I use is in fact one of the extra long M6 rocker cover bolts from a late 3 litre. Being M6 makes it slightly less than 6mm and being a capscrew makes it high tensile. . I've used it countless times, and it doesn't get stuck either, because you can just unscrew it.

Seriously though have you tried Renault and asked for 21 turbo items same box. I am assuming the drive shafts will be very similar at the gear box end worth a try maybe. I am sure thats what was used on my GTA

It might be a 21 but it was built using the correct tools to do the Job Having said that you should have seen the time we changed the subframe with engine in situ....it worked tho'

That's just it - I had a proper punch once apon a time, and it was forever getting stuck or bent. It could do with being a smidge longer, but that bolt has worked perfectly every single time since I started using it.

Every mechanic has a drawer full of "special tools" that they've made up or improvised for specific tasks on specific cars - like my ball joint splitter with the ends ground down so it fits around the DeLorean's speedo drive
