Show Us Yours!!!

Postby BIG_MVS » Wed Jan 02, 2008 5:33 pm

Right new year time to get some pictures up of your beloved Alpine!

I have finally got my asp into gear and taken a couple, here is my GTA, affectionally named "Merlin" by the previous owner. It's a 1991 car and according to the turbodog it's one of the last GTA's before the Le Mans (the fabrication number is the last known to him and only 2 or 3 cars before the Le Mans fabrication numbers started). Only 2 prev owners (last guy had it since 95) and it has an extensive service history dating back to when Radborne Racing originally supplied the car when new.

I've fitted Leather, 2 new rear light lenses, 17" Azev's (said I would never fit them as they are too common but they just suit the car really well and are easy to clean as a bonus!!), loads of other annoying things fixed(see my project thread). Still needs TLC here and there but I'll get there, permission to shoot me down as I ain't selling this one!!!

Really good ICE install was done as well hiding a 6 CD changer in the glovebox:

Not sure about the Exhaust, it's stainless and cost a fortune, but it was based on the original and obviously needs altering as it's starting to lean lob sided

Couple of pics of my old GTA's:

Hope this is still alive?? Steve M are you still around?

Let's see yours then?

FYI Newbie photo people. Take your pictures, then upload them to a hosting site, I use www.photobucket.com. Use the IMG Code and just paste it into your post, preview and check all is well then post!!

So common a scrutineer and other competitors will think they are a factory option

Juzzblack...that sounds great. I have one on my new steed however deliberating whether i should take it off [and replace with a single outlet system ] as by just looking at it it appears not to be as free flowing as a turbo system should be. [T-junctions never do ]
The first thing on seeing my car that was said was "geez, you could improve on that restrictive system you have there!"
So the dilemma is....do i dump this system for the single or what?
Is there any testing/figures to show that this system is better?
It is an expensive item and i am loath to get rid of it just yet.
Anybody's thoughts would be appreciated. :?
