Problems.....

Postby jon_viola » Mon Oct 29, 2007 11:41 am

Having jinxed mtself the other day at the RAOC meeting, guess what? My cars not happy....

The fuel relay seems not to be working (the chargecooler was wired into the fuel pump, overload?) or so it would seem. Two hours at 2am with AA man now means i have little wiring left on the fuel side of the car but still no pump working!!

SO:

Does anyone know of a good mobile auto elec person (i'm in S London) to rewire the fuel system?

Where would be the best place to get a relay from?

Cheers

The wiring to the pump which comes from the supply that feeds the front fuel pump is not controlled off the rear fuel pump relay.

If the relay is faulty, you can check this by swapping the fuel pump and injection relay over (under the ecu cover) and then see if the rear fuel pump primes when you turn the key.

We could get the pump (under the steering rack) to prime by bypassing the car and running the pump straight off the battery but the car would still not start....

Ps I could def hear the fuel pump relay clicking next to the ECU, is there another one?
