Norwich Union MSA Classic event October 14th 2007

Postby n_edwards » Mon Jul 30, 2007 10:11 am

:!: Hello, my name is Natalie Edwards and I am a representative for MSA Norwich Union Classic. Did you know that the Norwich Union Classic event is taking place again on Sunday 14th October of this year? We would be delighted if you could attend. Whether present as a driver or as a spectator the event is guaranteed to be a great day out.

The event eventually converges on Silverstone Grand Prix circuit where entrants will be treated to the amazing opportunity of driving several laps of the legendary circuit and starts from five different locations across the country:

(1) Bath
(2) Royal Automobile Club Clubhouse, Woodcote Park, Epsom
(3) Norwich Union Offices, Surrey Street, Norwich
(4) York
(5) Silverstone Grand Prix Race Circuit

We would love to see loads of Renault Alpine cars at the event.

I have sent my entry in for this. Starting from Bath hopefully. I have been on it a few times years ago. It was always a good laugh. Anyone else going?

Ben, I hope to be marshalling at Longcross on the 14th, I'll give you a wave as you pass (fly) through. Simon.

Yes it was great day thanks Simon. I minor problem with a split water hose and going very sideways into Copse, but apart from that, all according to plan. I didn't get into the Bath start in the end, so Silverstone was my second choice. Millbrook proving ground was well worth the change, the GTA loved it! How was your day at Longcross?

Longcross was good. No major breakdowns, lovely cars came through, The De Tomasso GT5 S got cautioned for lighting his tyres up while cruising down the straight and we spent most of the day tearing around trying to encourage the competiters (sorry 'entrants') to keep to the site speed limit. Someone mentioned 60, but no one went that slow.....

Sounds about right. I had to leave Millbrook in a hurry, as i wasn't exactly sticking to the 50 limit on the hillclimb section!
