A rare beast that one.

Lot of cash but I like it. Does it fit the engine bay I wonder? The turbos hang off each side I guess.

no, they're in a wierd convoluted setup where space allowed. Can't see any reason for a pair of custom manifolds to allow you to do that though. That'd also mean not having to chase down an A610 timing cover, or lose the balance shaft

The expensive and unreliable variable shock absorbers have already been replaced, springs replaced, car lowered---- Then he blew the gearbox :( and lost interest-- no wonder. Turbos new 10.000 kms ago, Clutch 3000 km

A better offer than just the engine, in the French auction even without the ECU.

Daniel (with zero km in his R25 V6 turbo this year :( )

As Switzerland isn't in the EU, you'd have to pay tax if you imported it to the UK and wanted to use it on the road (most people forget that!)

Was going to say the same thing however the price is sill under 2 grand... and being over 10 years old means you only need an MOT to register in the UK

In the EU you're definitely correct, but I didn't think that was the case with non-EU.
I thought it was 15 (or maybe 20) years and no minimum for VAT & Car Tax.

But I'll bow to your better knowledge as I haven't actually tested it by importing from non EU area.

Hi,
yes, I forgot about the tax. But even with taxes paid the cars are cheap, compared to French offers. But I don't believe that any of you Alpine nuts would put it back on the road :D :)

Here is another cheap one, gearbox still OK, also in CH:

=> Serviced regularly by Renault, gearbox 60.000km, suspension replaced using original parts (35.000km).

Apparently they were desigend for comfort and smooth power output. In other words: They castrated the poor thing, lowering the boost pressure at certain rpms to spare the weak gearbox. :(

Been there, got the tee-shirts (5 and counting...) :lol:

Definitely 10 years on anything. The EU thing only applies to taxes, although there are ways around duty if the car is considered a "classic" and was -built- in the EU originally.
