Storage Costs/Rates

What is the ususal sort of rate for providing storage for a car whilst it is being looked at by the insurance company. My car is currently sitting in a mechanics garage and I wanted to know what sort of rate I should be charged for keeping it there.

The local recovery yard that deal with cars through my work charge £5 a day.....or at least they did 3 years ago....could be nearer £7 by now I guess.

Could be anything from £5-£20 per day depending on the company and the location.

Thanks for that - I know the chap who is keeping it for me at the moment and I know he'd happily do it for nothing but I feel it's appropriate he charge me. It's the least I can do for him with all that he has done.
