GTA Gearknob

I don't like the big clunky standard gearknob on my GTA and want to change it for something like the one the normally seen in the A310 - I've found someone to produce one for me with the Alpine badge on it.

Does anyone know how to remove the GTA gearknob? I assumed that it would just screw off, but there seems alot of resistance and I don't want to break it.

Just pull....... HARD, twisting at the same time. It's a sort of interference fit and once you've pulled it off, you'll need some sort of glue to put it back, should you want to.

Have a look at the gear knob fitted to french GTA s i have one fitted in my car it is smaller and made in black leather much better Andrew
