Clutch hydraulic cylinders

Has anyone had to replace these? If so have you any suggestions on where to source them from? Stephen has helped me out with some Part no.s but finding a dealer that can source them is a tougher task!

if it is the clutch slave cylinder, do a search on this site, quite a few of us have replaced them and sourced replacements from brakes international. It is an easy job to do on an atmo, compared to a turbo whch can be excessivly challenging.

The same unit is fitted to one of the Renault vans ans is a tenth of the price direct from Renault

any part numbers available?

I was hoping there might be some cross-over with another model, and fortunaltely it is an Atmo. I notice in the parts book the Turbo and GT parts look different but have the same number, something commented on in one of the other clutch threads.

OK part number for the master is 6001007297

Alpine A110, Renault Safrane 2.5dt, Hudson Kindred Spirit (Renault powered), transAlp (Honda) and Ducati Multistrada

The only van it 'could' be shared with is the Master van with the UN1, but if the part number is the same then it will be the same price..

Rememeber the atmo and turbo slaves are different.

Careful guys there are two types of slave. The slave as used on the Atmo (and DeLorean) has a bleed nipple directly on the slave cylinder. The one on the turbo has the remote bleeder down on the bottom and has a larger thread in the cylinder itself. I have sourced turbo ones from Renault and get Atmo/DeLorean ones from my local factors. These also cross over to the pre 96 Espace V6 and presumably any other UN1'd vehicle. Cost is about £125 inc vat I seem to remember.

I have an excellent Renault dealer and always happy to sort bits out for people. If you want to try your local place, give them the number plate F747 ETA which is one of my 25 turbos so will have the remote bleeder.

By the way, (sorry if this is a daft question) is the master for the Atmo the same unit as the Turbo? Im after the Atmo bit, and the parts book suggests they are one and the same, but Im confused by the two slaves sharing a part number but being slightly different!

Speaking with DG he's on his holiday till the end of the month, does anyone know of a garage around the Cambridge area who might have a look at replacing the clutch master and one of the drive shafts on an Atmo in the near future?

Honestly ,both those jobs are easy enough .The master and even slave are no bother on an Atmo and the DS is just a couple of bolts to undo and a pin to knock out .Any garage you trust will have no bother and it won't cost a lot .I reckon two hours tops ..................
