Radiator cooling fan

Has anyone got a good radiator cooling fan motor for my GTA as mine is very noisy!! Also need lower temp sensor by the turbo, and a glove box lock assembly. Any takers???

I've got both temp switches on the bracket if you want the whole thing ?

you should get a renault 5 gtt fan as they have a lot more pull than the gta fans,and they bolt straight upto the gta bracket so no need to modify anything i fitted 2x gtt fans to mine and they certanily pull the temps down

I've fitted a Spal 11" it's deathly quiet and 1500cm/hr

I don't think it needs two now the A/C gone ...................

Yep ditch the Renault fan, it sucks (badly)

but for a tenner you cant go wrong wiv a gtt fan :wink:

sooo much better than the alp fan,but yeah the spal fans are good have twin spal fans on my new ride

I thought the standard Alp fans were gtt fans!?!

Mine was and it was still noisy and weighed a ton. :wink:

the motors are different and the gtt fans i have arent noisey

I have found the std single fan adequate and quiet, even in our heat. The front bearing is probably shot like mine was. The original bearing is held in with a shroud that is rivetted, but these can be drilled and replaced by small bolts and nuts. I used nyloc nuts, although a Loctite product on the threads of these small bolts will also work fine.

I do admit fitting a pair of Renault 18 GTS fans to my new bigger aluminium radiator, just because I could.

I've got a rad fan off a Citroen AX stuck to the front of my car! Works a charm!

Well. Two 11" Pacet profans fitted. They fitted inside the old fan metal housings with little modification. Now I have proper cooling; goes well with the new clutch, overhauled starter and alternator, new rear suspension bushes, brakes, etc All in a weeks work! A/c works better too with the new fans. Off to Italy with it on Friday, lots of mountain passes to attack - and the missus likes driving it now..... Fun job too fitting the beam deflectors / covers to the headlamps....
