What's got a PRV V6 in it?

Postby Alpineandy » Thu Mar 29, 2007 9:31 am

Following on from the porky 944 thread, what other cars (or boats) have you seen or heard about that've had this engine (atmo or turbo) installed in it as a 'special' (or bodge depending upon your viewpoint)?

This is not about 'what had them as standard'. I know hundreds of buggies had them and venturis....and Deloreans....etc

There's at least one lotus esprit.
Now this 944.
There are Robert Dumonts 2 specials - Both mid mounted V6s - and R8 and an R12 (what happened to that 12?).

And???

Andy
Now that is going back, I remember Robert R8 it was a fun :D machine.

In Germany 25 years back I knew of two 911's (early 70's cars) with the PRV in, god knows why as 911 engines were chip as chips then, and 1 DeTamaso! Strange people

Non though quite as strange as putting a PRV in a 944 though
