You have got to see this!!!

Postby Tony Smith » Mon Mar 05, 2007 3:14 pm

Just got sent this link by a mate - Guy on a R1 Yamaha with a helmet camera trying to keep up with a Veyron and Carrera GT Porshe. You have to see the acceleration of the Veyron to believe it!

I've been on R1s before, and I know how quick they are!

But hey, for the difference in price there ain't much difference in performance!

Not in most situations. Cars are generally quicker on the tight stuff and a Veyron has the power to weight to overcome the normal bike straight line advantage. Where are you talking about?????

I mean the stats, the R1 hammers the Veyron on a standing start and over the quarter mile by nearly a whole second..

R1 might be quicker from a standing start but from that video it gets obliterated from about 50mph upwards.

Now let me think, Christmas is coming, do I want a Veyron or an R1 from Santa. Thought over, Veyron, sell it's oil filter (one of them) and buy the R1 :D

More impressive is the Audi earlier in the thread, someone needs to give Audi a lesson in welding :D Not impressed how the car sheared in two, I will cross the RS of my Christmas list :)
