Anyone used these ?Are they allowed in 1C ?

No, they are list 1b tyres (i.e. sticky), they are what I intended to get if Wigton had continued to allow 1b tyres in their road car class (they allowed them last year as an experiment). As a general guide line when looking at tyres, a wide tread pattern like the R888s indicates they are list 1b.

What would you recommend Peter ?

I used Proxes and they were quite good....if you need cheaper than Hankook Ventus were pretty much a match for the Toyos and quite a bit cheaper. I know a few people who run Yoko A539s but Ive tried them and they arent as good. The latest thing amongst the really serious Peugeot 205 runners at events are a tyre called Stunners.....they seem to be the 'in' tyre and get good reports, but they arent widely available.
Get DG to price you up Toyos and Hankooks.....I didnt find anyone cheaper when I wanted them last.

Ventus Sports all round , I've also got some Eagle F1 rears and some Nankang Ultrasport fronts in the shed .
Some off the RTOC lads have mentioned Stunners ...............
You should have no problem getting them.

Of course!!! I would stick with them and see how you go, unless they arent legal anymore. They arent a bad tyre and they are on list 1a now (unlike when I sold them to you!!!). I think you will be pleasantly suprised how they grip on a circuit or climb.

When your MSA licence comes through, section R3 of the blue book lista all the 1a (roadgoing classes) tyres and 1b too.
