So despite all the talk from the GTA guru's  , they've not managed to find a gta dyno plot with more power than Tony Smiths (which is still only in it's early set up stages) . Perhaps they're all hiding on hillclimbs

This thread is going off in all directions now, but just for the record...

The 205 T16 E2 made it's debut on the 1985 Tour of Corsica, producing 435 bhp at 2.5 bar of boost. (Although it was reckoned in favourable conditions it ran more like 2.8 bar and gave in excess of 500 bhp.)

Renault never claimed more than 350 bhp for the 5 Maxi Turbo, but it was reckoned 400 bhp was closer to the mark and it produced more torque than the 037 or 6R4.
GTA V6 Turbo - BTW check your earths!

Ah, so now the truth comes out. Your just trolling after Peter because your friends with Tony....

Whats the interest with it being more powerful that Tonys....?

You said before power doesnt equal faster..but to humour you here is a A610 plot..

I am fully aware of that....the only person who looks stupid is you because you appear to know nothing about anything. The mk 1 T16 produced about 350bhp. If you had read my post I said T16 2.....i.e. mk 2 or Evo if you like. As pointed out in my post (if you had read it) the Tour De Corse was a bit of a tragedy as Lancia lost a works driver and quite a lot of the field withdrew and very few cars finished.....hence how privately run Porsches and Alfas finished so well. It was the beginning of the end for Grp B...the death of Toivonen a year later on the same rally in the S4 then the RS200 hitting spectators soon after in Portugal finished it.

As for GTAs.....Tony's is the most powerful in the club at the minute, no argument. Its a whole lot more powerful than your Dini that doesnt yet exist!!!! My car is a lot lighter and built for a purpose....to win at speed events....and it does a fair job of it!
You havent mentioned torque in any of your ramblings......perhaps a wild prediction on that front would give the rest of us a laugh. I had about 360lbs at the flywheel.

Why would Gary being a friend of mine make him troll after Peter? As I've said before I'm only interested in being happy with how my car goes, theres always someone out there faster than you

No sprint competion

Postby Tony Smith » Wed Jan 24, 2007 4:19 pm

Am I right in thinking sunroofs are forbidden on sprints and hillclimbs - if so that'll rule out Gary's 'dini because it has a sunroof!

No, a sunroof is fine providing he runs in the standard production class (i.e. ordinary road tyres, most of the interior, MOT and road tax). The scrutineers would ask that he put some tape over it in case he rolled it and the thing shattered.

Thought this post was a bit like a school boys toilet.

A pissing match with no point.

Suggest time may be more suitably spent!!! Like having a pint! Or building those 'raging bull' engines.

Its on page 6 Forrest!!! But as I now feel sorry for you I'll post the link again.

http://www.alpinerenaulttuning.co.uk/petefinalrun.jpg

258 @ flywheel.........roughly 210@wheels.....somewhere or other on a computer is a full @ wheels conversion which shows 209.something as the correct calculation.....but it was over 6 months ago and I cant find it.
