That's true.

Surely how fast a car can ultimately go must be part of any measure of how fast a car is

Bet there aren't many 165mph + Dinis...

Thanks for that Tony  ......I dont slate other peoples cars and dont make wild claims about my own, I just stick to the facts...if everyone did the same everything would be fine. You said your car had 240bhp@the wheels I accpet it fine without graphs or the like.....all I said was that it didnt have significantly more than 300bhp.....and as far as I can tell it doesnt because there is nothing to say it does! As David has shown I did indeed have graphs for the 209bhp run and they were on the forum at the time. I have never said that your car didnt have more power than mine....I accept it because the facts to prove it exist. I also dont doubt Gary's Gordini is fast (and I do quite like Gordinis...used to have an atmo).....if he beat me then that would be fine...I can accept getting beaten...I just cant except hollow bragging. Theres a good reason not to believe people who appear over the net and make claims about their cars....its called John Lane!!! Just because youve been in Gary's car and tell me its fast doesnt mean I should believe its much quicker than my GTA. My neighbour has a 100bhp Westfield that felt sooo quick when he took me out in it, quicker than my GTA for sure....until we went out in our cars together last summer and he couldnt keep up. Different car....different feeling of quick.
Top speed test sounds good.....I know mine does 140mph at least! :D

There's no point having a 160 mph top speed if it takes 10 miles and half an hour to reach it is there ? A gta with only 210 bhp at the wheels will go like an old donkey compared to my gordini which is still almost mechanically standard  Why don't you all bring these fast gta's out then and see for yourselves ? I don't hate gtas's or think they're rubbish , i know they're normally slow though !!!!!!

Keep the hot air coming!!!!!! 210@ wheels was before some of the current mods and came with 300lbs of torque......at the end of the day its more than your claims at the flywheel. You know you want to come to Prescott really!!! Speed licence is only £35......getting your asp kicked.....priceless!!!

I can vouch for that. It did just that for me on a test drive down the M1, just before you bought it. Ran rather hot though.
